Promise Press is a publishing company run by Karryn Nagel and was born out of the desire to bring to life more playful and emotive works, that can inspire and stir passion in the artistic side of our lives. The pandemic taught us well; we NEED the arts.

Promise Press is primarily the home of Karryn Nagel’s fiction books, but she’s dabbled in some low and medium-content books as well. These are coloring books, kids’ trivia books, activity books, etc. Karryn debuted her autobiographical, slice-of-life novel in 2013, and also released her Intention Coloring book in March 2023.

Karryn is publishing a cozy adventure trilogy focused on trans rights and positive masculinity. That series is known as The Gus Chronicles. Book 1, Guarding Gus, is out now and available everywhere. Book 2, What to Suspect When You’re Suspecting, will be out in Fall 2024.

When not writing, Karryn can be found swing dancing, baking, or hanging with her cat Totoro.
